Delta's hands-free technology now available in classic and durable designs

TORONTO, ON (July 2011)

In response to the high demand for its hands-free technology, Delta Faucet Company is expanding its ProximityTM Sensing Technology line to include three classic commercially-styled lavatory faucets. This unique technology can sense a user's hand when it enters the 4" field around the body of the faucet, turning the faucet on. The user easily turns off the faucet by removing their hands from the water stream. The designs, free of optics and infrared, are easy to maintain and fit into any commercially-designed facility.  

Proximity Sensing Technology has been added to Delta's 590TP, 591TP and 590-PHDF series. The 590TP and 591TP series feature a one piece cast brass body designed to endure and withstand heavy-duty usage. These classic designs are modern yet practical and easily reflect the personality of individual institutions.

Installation is user-friendly as the faucets self-calibrate once installed. All three series feature a surface mount control box making it easy to access the electronics for installation and routine facility maintenance. The vandal resistant outlets are particularly useful in high traffic environments.
